california bums are pretty yuppie. i was driving to work this morning and saw the guys at the 7/11 rolling up their sleeping bags but instead of loading up into a shopping trolley, this dude had a babyjogger. all he needed was a double non-fat 40 oz. to put in the cup holder. his friend looked like he'd stepped straight out of a patagonia catalog, he had the hiking boots and rucksack; no torn, plastic garbage bags to be seen in his ensemble.
