this is another american public holiday, or "excuse for a day off work" that i've never participated in the formal sense, aside from having a paid freebie. regardless, it has become something of a unique day in the sense that i have found myself making bookshelves from scratch to hiking in caves. tomorrow i will go to work as i have for the other public holidays, however i too will be thinking about things that i need to be said and done in order to be at peace with myself and others.
